The book narrates the food traditions and rituals of diverse culinary cultures in the Mediterranean, delving into the stories and origins of each recipe. Some of the chefs who are featured in this book, including Aline Kamakian, Barbara Massaad, Sami Tamimi, Hisham Assaad, Amoul, and Andree Maalouf, are cookbook authors in their own right. Others are community cooks and mamas who have preserved, and sometimes reinterpreted, their culinary traditions.
